2010 Mt Darwin CFA Orphans Awareness Campaign Marathon

Now is the time to lace up those running shoes and start training! Following the success of the first event in 2009, the 2nd edition of the Mount Darwin CFA Orphans Awareness Campaign Marathon & 1/2 Marathon is a unique event that combines running with a good cause.

Race date: Saturday 20 November 2010.

The main objectives of the 2010 Mount Darwin CFA Orphan Awareness Campaign Marathon are as follows:

1. To promote child care and protection within the community;

2. To raise funds to assist Orphans & Vulnerable Children (OVC’s) in Mt Darwin

through payment of school fees and purchase of educational materials;

3. Promotion of sport;

4. To promote youth education through sport.

In 2009 the race attracted 270 athletes. The goal for this year is to enhance international participation.
